Studies show that having doula support at your birth leads to better outcomes for both high and low risk women including reduced need for epidurals, reduced caesarean sections and instrumental deliveries, reducing the duration of labour and increased rate of spontaneous vaginal labour, improved vbac experience, improved satisfaction with birth and better Apgar scores for newborns.
